An Invitation, From Us to You
Every year, God gives us a word to rally the Church together around, and this year, that word is Build the People. It's not a slogan, It's a promise: no one is meant to stay the same, and no one is asked to sit on the sidelines of what God is doing. Vision from God is always big enough for everyone. We believe 2027 is going to be the year we watch that promise take shape—through new leaders raised up, disciples formed, and ember church reaching into Bellevue and beyond. But a vision like this isn't something we can carry alone. It only becomes real and possible when it becomes your vision too. So this is our invitation: pray about your place in the story, take a step of growth, and look for where you're being called to help build. We can't wait to see what God does in and through our church, and through you this year.

Make the decision not to stay where you started. Join a group, sign up for a class, and let Jesus work. Discipleship happens in circles, not just rows.

Serve somewhere. Live your faith in the open. Give like it matters. That's what joining Jesus in His mission looks like across the room, the city, and beyond.

Rooted is a clear discipleship pathway for anyone who wants to grow in understanding the faith.

We'll be remodeling upstairs into our new kids wing — making more room, updating our classrooms, and giving kids a space where they can become disciples of Jesus. We also have plans for Youth and Young Adults. This is the future of the church, and it's time to build them up.

Pastor Jeff's doctoral work on discipleship — from the apostles to postmodernism, and how we got here. A one-day class, held on a Saturday, that takes you on a journey through two thousand years of church history you won't forget. Lunch is provided, along with a rich, challenging learning environment for anyone who wants to truly understand the origins of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus in the 21st century.

Beyond Us Offering
Beyond Us is our annual offering opportunity to sow from October through December as we prepare for ministry projects in 2027. We do this every year to accelerate the vision God has put in our hearts this year, those resources go directly toward the Kids remodel and expansion.

Stones
& Priests
Since 2020, Jesus has called us to be a church that builds disciples who love, serve, and live His mission. God isn't after a bigger church; He's after people. Peter gives us two pictures of who those people are.
First, you are a stone. You're a living stone, pulled from the rock of your own sin and death and set, still breathing, into something God is building. You didn't choose your place in the wall. He placed you there, fitted shoulder to shoulder with the stones beside you and held together by grace. Together we are a temple where the Holy Spirit lives.
Second, you are a priest. You weren't built up just to look holy. You were built to be used. A holy priesthood offers something: your body, your worship, your ordinary Tuesday, given as a living sacrifice.
Vision month reminds us that we're both. As stones, we're built by God. As priests, we help build others. Nobody here is decoration. Everyone has a place, and everyone is called to help lay the next stone as we "Build the People."
