Meet Our Lead Pastors
Jeff & Kristin Thorp
Jeff & Kristin Thorp joined as the lead pastors of Ember Church (formerly Lake Samm Church) in September of 2020.
Jeff is a passionate Jesus-follower whose life is clearly marked with the power of the Holy Spirit. As a dedicated student of the Word, Jeff ministers and preaches with theological depth and contagious love for God. He is a man focused on prayer, listening, and obedience to God’s leading. Jeff’s salvation brought massive change in his life and his journey has been clearly directed by God towards Lead pastoring.
In 2010, Jeff began serving in ministry, and for the past three years he has served as the pioneer Youth Pastor and Founder of View College at View Church in Snohomish. Jeff is passionate about seeing people know Jesus as Lord & Savior, education, reading, traveling, being with his wife, watching young people discover their divine design, good food, meeting new people, learning new cultures, and working out.
Kristin is a PNW native who loves the local and global Church, watching people follow Jesus, walking with people in authentic and meaningful relationship, good coffee and food, communication and storytelling, people discovering their giftings and call, traveling, meeting new people and learning about new cultures, and creating a space of peace and refuge for people. At age 18, Kristin felt a strong call from God to be a pastor and has followed that path with faith and passion. She loves to team with Jeff in ministry and also ministers in the marketplace as the Director of Marketing for Subsplash, a Seattle-based tech company that creates tools that support churches. Kristin and Jeff met in 2009 at the church they were attending and serving. They were married in 2014.
Jeff & Kristin welcomed their first child, Ezra into their family in November of 2021 and are preparing for the birth of their second son in March of 2024. They are deeply passionate about young people, leadership development, and sending people out! They are humbled that God has chosen them as the pastors of Ember Church and are excited about the incredible opportunity to reach Bellevue and beyond with the saving message of Jesus.
